And it’s not just some snippet of news, it’s real. I FINISHED THE SECOND MANUSCRIPT! It clocked in at more words, but less chapters, than the first one. And for some reason, that’ll be eternally funny to me. Either the chapters in #2 are DENSE, or the ones in #1 are short.

ShortER, sure, but come on. That’s crazy. I guess it’s because I had more ideas to convey in #1, as that’s where I do all of my world-building and rules-giving. Er, well, not really RULES, per se, because I absolutely do not function by rules, more like suggestions. But you get it.

#1 had more ideas, but said less things. Anyway. Moving on.

Now I can start working on the third one. For real this time. I’m like the kid who cried wolf with these manuscripts and the “I’m finished!….oh wait, never mind! NOW I’m fin–damn it, no…okay, NOW I’m finished” kind of posts. But I’m putting 1 and 2 in the can (filmmaking lingo for ya) before I keep revising and tweaking them and never finishing them.

1 and 2 are slightly, sliiiightly, disconnected from the rest of the series. The real story starts in #3. Different cast of characters (except the protagonist), different direction, and also different ship. 1 and 2 are more for context for the main character. He’s so unconventional, you need 2 books to acclimate to him 🤣🤣
