I finally finished expanding the second manuscript, now I’m going back over it to give it a flow check. It’s been fun, I feel good about how it turned out. Luckily there hasn’t been too much to fix, just kind of smoothing out the wording and readjusting some stuff.
So far there has only been one chapter that has an end that doesn’t match the beginning of the next chapter. I’m currently kicking ideas around about how to resolve that. If I remove that section entirely from the one chapter, it’ll get rid of around a thousand words. But if I remove it from the second chapter, it’s only about five-hundred words.
I will end up replacing whatever I remove to keep the word count, so it’s really just a matter of coming up with something else. Good problems to have, I suppose. Progress is coming along smoothly.
In other words I beat Doom: The Dark Ages and it was AWESOME. Then, like a dumbass, I accidentally deleted my save, so I have to start over. Darn.
Anyway, until next time, readers!
