The laptop I wrote most of my series on had to be repaired. First, the hinges on the lid ended up breaking. Luckily, that was covered since it was a known issue. Then, pretty much a couple days after I get it back, the screen just came out.

The adhesive that kept it in stopped adhesing. I went to super glue it back in and didn’t notice one of the bottom corners sticking out, and when I closed it I heard a C-R-U-N-C-H that made my heart drop. It took a long-ass time, but I finally got around to replacing the screen.

It was super easy, probably because I didn’t have to take the other one out. Connected the cable, used the bezel to stick the screen in, and voila. Now I’m back in business on this laptop. I can’t wait to get back to it, I’ve missed this laptop.

I wrote 7 manuscripts on this thing. While it was down, I used another laptop to do all of my revising, editing, and expanding. It did the job, but it wasn’t the same. Now I don’t have to worry about it anymore. Also, fun fact, this was the first time I’ve seen the back of a laptop screen. I guess I can mark that off my bucket list now.

Until next time, readers!
