Alright! I’m back! I know my updates are slow, but that’s because I’m sidetracked with other things. My trademark application was rejected because I didn’t actually have a mark to trade, so I’m going to copyright them instead. It seems like it’ll be cheaper because I can put multiple titles under one copyright and that is exactly what I was looking for.

The second book is humming along. It’s currently sitting at 101,460 words, which is around my goal so I’m getting close to finishing the writing phase. The last 3 chapters are pretty short and I wanted to get those filled out to match the length of the other chapters. Then I’ll start on the editing.

My process for these manuscripts is long, it’s also meticulous, and will ensure I put out the best story I can. Not the best ever, but my best. I’m really proud of how the story is shaping up now that I’m revising, editing, and expanding all of these manuscripts. I mean I was proud of it before, but now I’m REALLY proud of it.

It’s one of those things where I want to hurry up and get this series out there because I think people will like it once they give it a chance, but I also don’t want to sacrifice the quality over quantity, so I’m taking my time.

Oh yeah, I almost forgot. An artist contacted me about coming up with a cover for the first manuscript. We went over all the details of what I wanted and what I was looking for. I’m super excited to see what they come up with and what my idea looks like translated through someone else. So that’s fun.

I guess that’s it for today. I might work on a forward for the first book, just something to let the reader know what to expect from that book and the series at large. Definitely going to work on those last chapters in the meantime.

Until next time, stay safe, readers!
