I finished the writing/expansion phase of this project and started correcting my atrocious punctuation with Grammarly. Once I finish that, I’ll go BACK over it all again with a fine-tooth comb before I hire an editor. But the exciting thing is I filed a trademark application for the title of the series! It’s going to take 3 o 4 months, at a minimum, to get approved, which is plenty of time to work on the rest of the series.
I also messed with some font generator websites and some image generators to tinker with possible cover designs. It’s getting exciting because now it’s getting real. I have a full-on novel-length manuscript on my hands, it just looks like someone fed a chicken a bunch of cocaine and told it to mark down all the punctuation. So far, I’ve gotten the first few chapters fixed, at a loss of 200 words. Which is fine, because it’s pretty damn long, so shaving it down and tightening it up would help.
It’s all part of the process. And now I’m going to get back to this behemoth of a manuscript! Until next time, readers!
