So, I beat my keyboards up for about a year to get 7 out of my 8 planned manuscripts written. I guess it was a good thing I worked 12 hour overnight shifts for most of that, because it was boring as all Hell and I needed something to pass the time. And this idea wouldn’t leave me alone.

When I say I have 7 manuscripts written, I mean I got the beginning, middle, and end. When I wrote the last word, I hit Save, New Document, and started the next one. I may have taken a couple of days in between each one to kind of celebrate, but you get the idea. Needless to say, they’re in a very rough draft state. They’re also all around novella-length, and I wanted to give readers a series they won’t feel like isn’t enough bang for the buck, you know? So my plan was to go back and expand all of the manuscripts into novel-length, and boy-howdy that’s been an undertaking.

So far the first manuscript is shaping up very nicely. I also smashed the novel-length amount of words, and I still have a few left to go. It’s going to be a hefty book, that’s for sure. But it’s also going to be a hefty series. I’ll be asking for a commitment from readers, but I promise it’ll be worth it when it’s all over. I’ll post some more details the further along I get in the process. After I finish expanding these manuscripts, I’m going to hire an editor and look into publishing.

Thanks for starting this journey with me and I hope we have fun!
